Lesson from the second letter of St Paul the Apostle to Timothy
2 Tim. 2:8-10; 3:10-12.
Beloved: Remember that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and was descended from David; this is my Gospel, in which I suffer even to bonds, as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound. This is why I bear all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory. But you have closely followed my doctrine, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my long-suffering, my love, my patience, my persecutions, my afflictions; such as befell me at Antioch, Iconium and Lystra - such persecutions as I suffered, and out of them all the Lord delivered me. And all who want to live piously in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
Léctio Epístolæ beáti Pauli Apóstoli ad Timótheum
2 Tim 2:8-10; 3:10-12.
Ps 36:24, 26
Though the just man fall, he does not lie prostrate, for the hand of the Lord sustains him.
℣. All the day he is kindly and lends, and his descendants shall be blessed. Alleluia, alleluia.
John 8:12
He who follows Me does not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life eternal. Alleluia.
Ps 36:24
Ps 20:4-5.
O Lord, You placed on his head a crown of pure gold; he asked life of You, and You gave it to him. (Alleluia.)
Ps 20:4-5
Posuísti, Dómine, in cápite ejus corónam de lápide pretióso: vitam pétiit a te, et tribuísti ei, allelúja.
Graciously accept, O Lord, the sacrifices we offer You in honor of Your blessed Martyr Felix, and grant that they may bring us everlasting help.
Through our Lord…
Hóstias tibi, Dómine, beáti Félicis Mártyris tui dicátas méritis, benígnus assúme: et ad perpétuum nobis tríbue proveníre subsídium.

It is truly meet and just, and profitable unto salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominions adore it, the Powers are in awe. Which the heavens and the hosts of heaven together with the blessed Seraphim joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted us to join with them in confessing Thee, while we say with lowly praise:
Communis
John 12:26.
Whoever serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am there also shall My servant be.
Joann 12:26

Refreshed by the sacrament of salvation, we beseech You, O Lord, that we may be helped by the prayers of blessed Felix, Your Martyr, whose feast we are celebrating.
Through our Lord…
Quǽsumus, Dómine, salutáribus repléti mystériis: ut, beáti Félicis Mártyris tui, cujus sollémnia celebrámus, oratiónibus adjuvémur.
